One of my favorite memories of the radio station, was listening to Chet Bosworth imotating Santa Claus while I listened intently for my letter to be read over the radio. Now, years later, I want my own two children to experience the wonderous magic this little radio station provided my childhood with. My father, Wayne LaGoy, who passed away in September 2004, was a avid listener and wrote often with his uncanny perspective on the world through LETTERS TO THE EDITOR. I miss hearing my dad talk about the CRICKERS, SWAP SHOP and of course, the excellent song selections played on air. Now as a college professor, I have incorporated WIRY as a project for my students to complete-thank you for being online! I am originally from the Montreal area and made many trips to the Platsburgh area and Rowsis Point in the late 60's or early 70's before they had drive-in movies in quebec; also a good place to go drinking. My father in the 70's owned many race horses and raced at Saratoga where I spent many weekends in my mid teens; and always found American girls more friendly and outgoing then Canadian ones. Your station sounds really good and has exceptional quality in terms of audio; it would be nice though if you had a box on the screen that displayed song/artist--for example the song you are playing currently as I'm writing this; I have no idea who the artist or what the song is; keep up the great work. Since I couldn't be there I relied on the internet to keep me posted. My son Nicholas is a defenseman for Fredonia and allthough the team played poorly he managed to be a plus 2 in a 16-3 series, never being on the ice for a goal against. Some concellation for him I guess. Anyway the radio play by play and color coverage where great and my wife and me really enjoyed it. You were pro Plattsburgh (as you should be) but not without giving credit to Fredonia when they did create some offense or killed a penalty. Without some bias in the play by play it wouldn't be exciting radio. I know my son loves to play in Plattsburgh as the whole atmosphere is charged with an almost pro hockey venue.
